Most of my free time I spend it on YouTube. This is one of my hobbies. There are several channels I watch daily and there are some videos I specifically search for, such as tutorials. During the search most of the time I get click baited. If you see, a search list video would have loads of views and then you think it must be great, but unfortunately it’s not. Once I was searching for a video and found one with loads of views. But when I visited it has over 90% dislikes, quality of the video was low, the background music was very loud and presenter’s voice was too low, whereas I was unable to hear him properly. There are a lot of bad quality videos in YouTube with loads of dislikes but the title and thumbnail might be misleading. So I was looking for a solution where I can find it before I click. And now here’s the solution i found CLICK-BAIT-101.

CLICK-BAIT-101, is a chrome extension that help you to find out some statistics related to YouTube video. When you activate the extension it loops through all the videos and display the statistics. When the videos has more likes it adds a green color out-line on top of the video and a heart shape icon on top left corner of the video. And if it has more dislikes the extension will add a red color out-line on the top of the video and a cross mark on the top left corner of the video. If you drag your mouse over to the heart shape icon or cross mark icon you can see how many likes and dislike the video has. Sometimes you’ll see blue color line on top of the video. That means those videos are YouTube red videos. You can’t get statistics for those videos normally. Now you will get to know what kind of a video your are going to click, whether it is a click-bait or content of the video is horrible or just the community doesn’t like the video.

Have a safe browsing.
Enjoy
